Morning Has Broken
I love the hymn, Morning Has Broken. Every time I hear this song, it reminds me of summer and the exciting days to come. They dawn earlier and earlier. Morning has broken like the first morning; blackbird has spoken like the first bird. Praise for the singing! Praise for the morning! Praise for them springing fresh from the Word!
Do you know what else is exciting about what is to come? The Christian Education committee! They have so many fun things planned this summer I thought I would highlight them so you can mark your calendars. There are intergenerational Sunday School classes in Grace Hall. They begin at 10 and finish in time for HEbrews at 10:30. June 9th promises to be lots of fun and then we have a special guest joining us for Father’s Day. If you are in town, you do not want to miss out! In addition to intergenerational Sunday School, the CE committee has Church Family Fun Nights planned each month. The first one will be Movie Night on June 18th. Finally, Vacation Bible School will take place July 8-10 in the evenings. The theme this year is Outback Rock and promises to be lots of fun for all.
I love the thought of a day that is so ready to begin, it cannot wait any longer. And I love the thought of a Church family joining together to enjoy each other’s company and sing their praises to God.
Praise with elation; praise every morning, God’s recreation of the new day!
I hope to see you as we join together to praise God this Summer.
Peace, Josie
