I bet you are thinking to yourself that I have lost my mind! What is that crazy lady doing? Luke 12:48 tells us, “From everyone who has been given much, much will be demanded; and from the one who has been entrusted with much, much more will be asked.” In other words, if we are blessed enough to be given, then we should bless others with our resources. And that is exactly what I am doing.

Sunday in worship, Laura reminded everyone that we are collecting money for Souper Bowl of Caring on the 11th. WPC designates that money to be used for Coins for Christmas when we provide monetary gifts to people in the community who have hit a rough patch or find themselves in need.  And she gave us all a challenge. Everytime we repeat or post the names Taylor Swift or Travis Kelce, that’s another coin or another dollar we need to add to our Souper Bowl contribution.

I’m not sure what my count is right now, however, following Jesus’ words on living, I am just trying to do my part! How about you? When the young people stand at the doors of the church after worship next week, how many coins or dollars can you spare to help bless a life in this community?
