We Are the Church Together
You or your kids may have learned a great song,
I am the church,
You are the church,
We are the church together.
You might consider it a corny song, but it’s true. Individually, the church isn’t any more than a building. Together, wonderful expressions of love can be celebrated. That has certainly been the case. You have been there with brothers and sisters from the cradle to the grave.
We have praised God in all sorts of fun and exciting ways with Vacation Bible School. “Make a joyful noise to the Lord.” Psalm 100:1
We have celebrated the life and death of Catherine Rodgers. “Blessed are those who mourn for they shall be comforted.” Matthew 5:4
We mourn for the family and friends of John Spearman who died yesterday. “Comfort, comfort, O my people.” Isaiah 40:1
Sunday we will celebrate the Baptism of Thomas Belser, son of Edwin and Frances Belser and Tripp’s baby brother. “You are my Beloved, on you my favor rests.” Luke 3:22
If someone asks you, “What’s going on at WPC” and you say, “Not much”. Well, I don’t know what to say. David 1:1
