 What A Week!

This past Sunday night, our beloved preacher, David, suffered a serious fall and broke his femur. We are grateful to report his surgery on Monday was successful. Coincidentally, Eva fell on Saturday and broke her ankle. Thankfully, they are both on the road to recovery.

In true Williamsburg Presbyterian fashion, our church family has risen to the occasion with grace, compassion, and action. From checking in on our sick friends and other members to making calls, and offering prayers—each act of kindness has reflected Christ’s love in tangible ways.

Special thanks to those on the Worship and Music committee who quickly stepped in to help arrange pulpit supply, ensuring our Reverends have time to rest and heal. We’re also grateful for those using their healthcare connections to explore rehab options and support the Ruths in practical ways.

David called me on Tuesday morning to say he was going to be “running a little late to the office this week.” He and Eva have been reminded that they are being loved and prayed for by our members.

Thank you, Williamsburg Presbyterian Church, for showing what it means to be the hands and feet of Jesus. Let us continue to pray for David’s full recovery and for strength and peace for both Eva and him in the days ahead.
