What Is a Conundrum?
According to the dictionary, “A conundrum is a difficult problem or question. It is a situation that does not have an obvious answer or solution.” Here are a few:

Why did Abraham almost sacrifice his son, Isaac?
That is the topic of this week’s sermon. (Genesis 22:1-14) It is a conundrum to me. As one who believes in a loving God, as a Father, as a husband, as a religious leader, it is hard for me to understand. Yesterday, I read in a commentary, “Few stories in the Bible are so haunting, distressing and challenging as the story of Abraham’s near sacrifice of his son, Isaac.” I agree.
