If You Aren’t Full; It’s Your Own Fault
The last thirty days have been a tremendous period in terms of calories. I would need a state-of-the-art calculator to count my calorie intake and I’m just talking about the ones provided by the church. To name just a few:
- The Men fed a large group with grilled pork tenderloin for Friendsgiving.
- Venison meatballs with gravy for Men of the Church
- Ham, turkey, and trimmings for Ginger Snappers
- Thanksgiving morning breakfast
- Breakfast buffet on Angel Tree Sunday
- Second Wednesday (tonight) soup galore, followed by Christmas Caroling
I truly hope you have been fed spiritually over the past month as well.
- Sunday morning worship
- The Lord’s Supper on Christ the King Sunday
- Sunday School (I attend a class taught by Mark Brown)
- Thanksgiving morning worship with music led by Preston Smith
- Weekly Lighting of the Advent wreath.
- The beautiful Chrismon Tree
- The Community Cantata was beautiful and meaningful
- The M&M’s will help lead worship this Sunday
- Christmas Eve service at 6:00 p.m.
That sounds like a full diet-body, mind, and spirit.
Gotta go, the women are packing cookies to be delivered to the shut-ins and they need my help to take care of any cookies that are dropped!
Have fun, David
